Privacy policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Murmur is a voice-first memo app. This page explains what we collect, how we store it, and the choices you have. It is a plain-language summary for product transparency — not a substitute for formal legal review before paid acquisition.

Account

You can sign in with Google, email and password, or an email sign-in link. Account authentication is handled by our auth provider. We store the identifiers needed to keep your memos tied to your account across devices.

Voice memos & metadata

AI assistance

Optional background features may generate titles or transcripts after you save a memo. These never block capture. Processed content remains associated with your private account.

Notifications

Gentle re-engagement notifications are opt-in. You control whether you receive them from device and in-app settings.

Analytics on this website

The marketing site may use privacy-friendly analytics (page views, CTA clicks, scroll depth) without collecting your email in event payloads. Waitlist emails are used only to notify you at launch.

Data requests

For access, export, or deletion requests related to your Murmur account or waitlist email, contact hello@murmur.app.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date.
